WWF Raw Bowl (January 1, 1996)

I decided to mix things up a bit and watch a match that I heard spoken about alongside nonsense like the Kennel from Hell match when people talk about all-time stupid gimmick matches but never actually seen: the first (and last) Raw Bowl. It’s New Generation Era WWF so I don’t have particularly high hopes for any of this but the entire episode is like 45 minutes minus commercials so who really cares.

USWA Championship Wrestling (November 9, 1996)

So this weekend I watched I’m From Hollywood, that documentary about Andy Kaufman’s foray into the wacky world of professional wrestling and was inspired to go watch some random shit from Memphis because of it. This November 9, 1996 episode of USWA Championship Wrestling is one of the things I watched. Here are words about it.

WCW Worldwide (February 18, 1996)

It’s time for another installment of the “highest rated syndicated show in all of television” as we look at a randon-ass episode of WCW Worldwide from 1996. This particular episode is the February 18, 1996 installment and it’s coming to us pre-recorded from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Tony Schiavone and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan are calling the action today.

WCW Uncensored ’96 (March 24, 1996)

Decided to watch another one of the Observer’s Worst Match of the Year winners and so I’m checking out WCW Uncensored ’96 tonight. Maybe it’ll be one of those shows where the main event sucks ass but the undercard is pretty boss, which was often the case with Hogan Era WCW. Let’s find out!

ECW Hardcore TV (April 2, 1996)

I got a request to review the main event from this episode of Hardcore TV and figured that it’s been awhile since I looked at mid-90s ECW so I might as well just watch the entire episode. So here it is, the April 2, 1996 installment of Hardcore TV, which I believe was filmed the day before.

We start the show with Joey Styles in the ring welcoming us to the beautiful ECW Arena and tells us that they’ve got an outstanding hour of wrestling planned tonight.

WCW Pro (January 13, 1996)

Time for another random episode of WCW Pro from 1996. Again our announce team for the morning consists of Chris Cruise, Larry Zybyszko, and Dusty Rhodes. They hype the main event of this morning’s show by informing us the Stud Stable will be in action before throwing it to a video package to show us what went down on Nitro this past Monday.

From time to time I’ve got 40 minutes to kill and a desire to see mid-90s WCW wrestlers squash dudes in short, nothing matches. Today was one of those days so I checked out an episode of WCW Pro from 1996. Our hosts for this morning are Chris Cruise, Dusty Rhodes and “The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko.
