AEW Dark Elevation (May 30, 2022)

I watched that old episode of AEW Dark the other day so now I’m getting random Darks and Elevations in my YouTube recommendations. This one was only 20 minutes long and also fairly recent so I figured I might as well watch it.

AEW Dark (February 4, 2020)

During last week’s Double or Nothing I got to talking with someone about whether or not AEW would ever do legit intergender matches, not just mixed tags where the guys have to wrestle the guys and the ladies have to wrestle the ladies. That person informed me that they already had during the Jericho Cruise and that the match aired on an episode of Dark. This is that episode.

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament: Show 4 (March 1, 2021)

I don’t think I ever watched this one and since my kid likes watching random women’s wrestling matches I figured this one would be a fine show to watch since it wasn’t overlong. So here are some words about random wrestling matches that aired on YouTube seven months ago.

AEW Dark (March 3, 2020)

Like so much of the wrestling I consume, I ended up watching this because it popped up in my YouTube recommendations. Since it was only 19 minutes long and had a feature bout involving my kid’s second favorite grappler, Yuka Sakazaki, I watched it together with her. “Her” meaning my kid not Yuka Sakazaki in case that wasn’t clear…anyway here are words about a 19 minute wrestling show on YouTube from a year and a half ago.

All In (September 1, 2018)

Over the past month or so AEW’s had me more amped up and excited about professional wrestling than I’ve been probably since shortly after WCW closed up shop back in 2001. Between the big signings, the air of predictability that comes from working with pretty much every major wrestling company around the globe save for WWE in addition to a mess of indies, and the fact that they’re going to pretty much turn Dark into WCW Worldwide and start filming in Universal Studios Florida I am hyped beyond belief about AEW so this weekend I decided to go back and watch the show that directly lead to AEW’s creation: All In.

I guess the story behind this goes that Big Dave Meltzer commented that Ring of Honor would never be able to sell out a 10,000 seat arena so Cody Rhodes took that as a challenge and along with the Young Bucks put together a show that took place at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on September 1, 2018. Tickets apparently sold on in 30 minutes. Anyway here are words about that show.

AEW Dark Elevation (September 27, 2021)

I don’t generally watch AEW Dark Elevation but this week’s episode is only 38 minutes long and I needed something to watch while drinking a beer so I fired it up on the ol’ YouTube and gave it a watch. They’re still in the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, NY as part of that chunk of tapings so if nothing else there will probably be some insane crowd reactions to the random squash matches we’ll be getting here.

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament: Show 3 (February 28, 2021)

Today we’re taking a look at the third show of AEW’s Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament. I watched this back when it first aired but never actually typed up my notes but since I have some time off I figured I go ahead and do that now.

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament: Show 2 (February 22, 2021)

My daughter is starting to get into watching wrestling with me but really only women’s stuff. We watched the first round of AEW Women’s Championship Tournament matches together and she wanted to watch the next batch together so it took me a couple days to find time for us to watch it together since I had work and she had school and swimming lessons and stuff. Anyway we finally watched it. Here are words about it.

AEW Dark (February 16, 2021)

Due to my current quarantine I’ve got a lot of free time to kill and luckily AEW’s got a bunch of random cheap as free wrestling shows up on YouTube to watch. So here are some very brief words about the most recent installment of AEW Dark. Since all but a couple of these matches were more or less squashes in the tradition of shows of yore like WWF Superstars of Wrestling or WCW Worldwide I’m going to forego the blow by blow.
