My quest to clear out my hard drive of wrestling shows I haven’t reviewed continues today with some mid-90s WCW, specifically Clash of the Champions XXXI. I know for a fact I watched this live on TBS when it happened and remember the main event and Hulk Hogan’s shenanigans that happen during this show but don’t remember much of the undercard so I guess it’ll be interesting to see what WCW was up to in the lead up to Nitro becoming a thing.

WWF Raw Is War (August 3, 1998)
So it’s August now which means I’ve got WWF content to watch and review again as I continue my journey through the year 1998, and so I watched the August 3, 1998 episode of Raw Is War. Here are some words about it.

Last week’s Raw Is War was a ton of fun. There were decent matches, plot development, and wild bullshit as the show went off the air…and nothing particularly racist or sexist. It was basically the platonic ideal of what an Attitude Era episode of Raw could be. So how will Vince McMahon’s merry band of weirdos follow that up? Let’s find out!

The episode before this one was kind of a slog to get through but it was a pre-recorded episode and this one is live…or at least was when it aired 23 years ago so hopefully it’s a bit better than that one was. I don’t know if I could deal with two consecutive weeks of largely mediocre grappling and wheel spinning. So let’s get down to business and see what this week has in store for me.

My journey through WWF’s 1998 programming continues with the June 8, 1998 installment of Raw Is War. We’re very nearly halfway through the year and to borrow a turn of phrase from Good Ol’ JR, “business is about to pick up.” Last week planted the seeds for THAT Mankind vs. Undertaker Hell in a Cell match and also set up Kane as the number one contender for Stone Cold’s title. Also Al Snow dressed up as every racist Asian stereotype at once. Truly we are smackdab in the middle of the Attitude Era folks! So let’s strap ourselves in and get ready for another installment of Raw Is War!

My journey through 23 year old episodes of Raw Is War continues this week with the June 1, 1998 installment of Raw. This is the Raw after Over the Edge so I’m sure there will be all sorts of fallout from that big, big show so let’s get down to it!

Another week, another episode of Raw Is War to review on this here blog. We’re looking at the go home show for Over the Edge this week in what I’m sure will be a lot of entertaining angles and very little in the way of professional wrestling. Let’s see how right I am!

I really liked last week’s episode of Raw Is War a lot. There were some decent matches and promos, sensible angle development and surprisingly little dick talk or other crude sex nonsese. Will that continue this week or will we return to thirty minutes of Triple H talking about his cock and five matches that barely last a minute before we get some sort of fuck finish? Let’s find out!

I’m honestly a bit surprised that I’ve managed to make it this far in this goofy project. I would have assumed I’d have gotten tired of this all by this point and given up on it but here we are in May and I’m still going strong. This week we’re taking a look at the May 4, 1998 episode of Raw Is War so without further ado let’s get down to it.

It’s back to the grind with another trip to 1998 with the WWF. This is the April 27, 1998 episode of Raw Is War. The night before was Unforgiven, which I didn’t watch so let’s see what sort of massive seachanges there were coming out of that event as we get down to business.
