For whatever reason the September 9, 2010 episode of WWE Superstars appeared in my YouTube feed last night while I was scrolling through looking for something to watch that wouldn’t require much thinking so I gave it a watch.

NXT (June 1, 2010)
I guess I might as well finish up my reviews of the first season of NXT before the end of the year. The last couple episodes have been pretty great if I’m being completely honest. Will that trend continue or will the show wrap up the way it began: unfocused and dull?

It’s time for another episode of NXT Season 1. I’ve thought that the past two episodes have both been really strong. Will this week continue that trend or will we go back to a bunch of boring bullshit surrounding a couple of short television wrestling matches? Let’s find out as we get wild and/or young!

I continue to plow through the first season of NXT with a bit of renewed vigor after last week’s shocking triple elimination. Which of the remaining five rookies will cut a shockingly good promo after being sent home after this? Probably none of them since really only Barrett and Otunga are decent on the mic and I’m pretty sure those two end up being the final two Rookies, but I’m getting a bit ahead of myself. Let’s get wild and/or young!

It’s time for another quick review of a wrestling show from a decade ago as I continue my deep dive into Season 1 of NXT. This episode was the first episode of the season that I couldn’t find on the official WWE YouTube channel but fortunately some dude with a name like WrestleJunk316 had it up in a much lower resolution. Anyway this episode is going to feature the first elimination of the season so let’s see who’s going home.

So towards the end of the year I start to rejigger my pop culture diet a bit in anticipation for the following year. Towards the end of 2019 I decided that in 2020 I was going to be a “movie guy.” Corona had other plans but even with theaters being closed for most of the year I’ll probably end up having seen over 120 films (the vast majority of which I’d not seen before) by the end of the year. Maybe not a lot for an actual cinephile, but better than the 75 I managed the year before when I also decided to be a movie guy. This coming year I’m mixing shit up and I’m going to go all in on being an anime guy.

My deep dive into the inaugural season of NXT continues full steam ahead as we take a look at the April 27, 2010 episode. We’re still two weeks away from the first elimination and…oh God can’t it come faster than that? Get ready for another dumb, pointless challenge, and Michael Cole shitting on Daniel Bryan as he gets squashed by Michael Tarver or some shit for no good reason. Wild and young!

After a couple of diversions into other random-ass bullshit I was able to find on YouTube and slightly less reputable YouTube clone sites it’s time to get back to the business at hand by which I mean my decision to review ten year old episodes of the game show version of NXT. So let’s get wild and/or young again as we see what the NXT Rookies were up to back in 2010!

Time to check back in with the game show version of NXT and see how the Rookies are doing this week, so let’s strap in and prepare to get wild and young while Michael Cole and company heap abuse on their coworkers for no goddamn reason!

So after a brief break to watch a Halloween Havoc and a random episode of WWF Superstars I decided to get back into the OG game show version of NXT. Today we’re taking a look at the April 6, 2010 installment coming to us live from Chicago, Illinois…or previously recorded since it’s 2020 now, not 2010.
