Championship Wrestling From Florida (October 26, 1983)

I guess I’m getting back into watching wrestling from time to time. For now I think I’m going to stick pretty exclusively with old studio stuff that I can find on YouTube. It might be Florida. It might be Mid-Atlantic. It might be Memphis. It might be something else but that’s the vibe I am currently most into so that’s the sort of thing I’m going to be watching. Today we’ve got another episode of Championship Wrestling From Florida. This particular episode was taped on October 26, 1983.

Championship Wrestling From Florida Global Wrestling (March 16, 1983)

It’s honestly been quite some time since last I even watched wrestling, let alone reviewed anything. I’m a dude with a family and a regular-ass job so my leisure time is frankly kind of limited so if I get into something I end up having to sacrifice some other hobby or interest to make time for it. Recently I’ve been watching that Star Wars Clone Wars deal so my random wrestling viewing has fallen by the wayside but last night I decided to get back to it with a random episode of studio wrestling from 1983.

Today we’re taking a look at the episode of Global Wrestling taped March 16, 1983. Wikipedia tells me that Global Wrestling was a “spin-off show,” but I don’t know if that means it was something like WWE Saturday Morning Slam or WCW Main Event in that it was just a secondary show or if it was a distinct show that aired in a different market the way WCW had unique version of WCW Pro for Chicago and New York. Whatever the case may be here are words about it.

Championship Wrestling From Florida (February 23, 1983)

So I went and got myself a Nintendo Switch at the end of August and since I’m a guy with a job and a family my overall free time is pretty limited and as such I’ve not been watching much wrestling or writing about it but I went and watched this here episode of Championship Wrestling From Florida last night so here are some words about it.

Championship Wrestling From Florida (February 19, 1983)

Today we’ve got another exciting episode of Championship Wrestling From Florida, specifically the February 19, 1983 episode of the show which unlike most of these shows I’ve seen does not originate from the Sportatorium at 106 N. Albany Ave. but rather the Fort Homer Hesterly Armory in Tampa. That’s right folks, we’re going to see some arena matches (taped on February 15, 1983) today…or at least some clips of arena matches since I’m doubtful we’ll get any in full.

Championship Wrestling From Florida (January 8, 1983)

I found the January 8, 1983 episode of Championship Wrestling From Florida on the ol’ YouTube though due to the length of the video it does not appear to be complete. I have no idea what, if anything, is missing from this one but if there is stuff I missed and you have a more complete copy of this episode or know of where a more complete copy can be found please let me know. Anyway let’s get down to it.

Championship Wrestling From Florida (September 28, 1983)

I continue make my way through random Championship Wrestling From Florida. Today I’m taking a look at the September 28, 1983 episode because that’s what started to autoplay after the last episode I watched finished playing and Jos LeDuc showed up in the first couple minutes so I stuck around and watched the entire thing. Here are words about it.

Championship Wrestling From Florida (November 19, 1983)

I legitimately think Championship Wrestling From Florida might be the best wrestling company ever. Even their off episodes are at least acceptable TV wrestling in the same way a random episode of WCW Worldwide from the 90s or a Sunday Night Heat from 2003 might be. Today, however, we’re taking a look at an episode that is apparently a high point, not just for the company but for studio wrestling as a whole. Today we’re taking a look at the November 19, 1983 episode of Championship Wrestling From Florida so let’s strap in and get down to business!

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling (April 2, 1983)

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling Logo

After the disappointing non-studio wrestling edition of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling I decided to go and find one back in the studio because the more wrestling I watch, the more I realize that the sort of wrestling I like best is psychos screaming at a local weatherman holding a microphone while bleeding profusely and boy howdy did I get a lot of that in this episode!

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling (November 26, 1983)

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling Logo

I’ve taken to doing a random roulette of YouTube video recommendations for my regular wrestling viewing and today we’re going back to the 80s to check out an episode of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling from November 1983. The November 26 episode if this date is to be believed. I honestly can’t find any information about this particular card on any of the unusual wrestling data sites but this is the date that was listed on the WWE Network and over the course of the episode Bob Caudle mentions Starrcade ’83 having just happened so November 26, 1983 seems like a pretty accurate airdate. Anyway let’s get on with it.
