Time for some more NXT. This was a review I’d done for an old blog I had. I’ve cleaned it up and added the proper Atomic Drop formatting we’ve all come to know and love, so let’s take it away.

We start things off with the standard issue NXT opening theme song before heading to Full Sail University for our opening contest. Rich Brennan, Alex Riley, and Albert/Tensai/Giant Bernard are on commentary.

It’s time for another installment of WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge. This week we’ve got the team of Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch taking on Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss. Our announce team is, as always, Corey Graves, Michael Cole and Beth Phoenix. They congratulate Beth on her appearance in the Royal Rumble and show a videos of Sami and Becky dancing with UNICEF people and Strowman attempting to teach Bliss to flip over a midsized sedan. This is why I love this goofy ass show.

WWE Royal Rumble 2017 (January 29, 2017)

I love gimmick matches and in my rather humble opinion there is no finer gimmick than the Royal Rumble. Thirty men enter. One man walks out with a shot a championship gold. There are usually some comedic spots, some decent in-ring action, and a surprise entrant or two that make it a must watch PPV, more so even than the Granddaddy of them all, WrestleMania. So how was the 2017 Rumble? Let’s find out.
