It’s been way too long since I’ve reviewed any sleazy Japanese deathmatch shit from the 1990s so today we’re going to right that wrong and check out the W*ING tape, The Curse of the Barbed Wire Bat. Steel yourself for lots of brawling and dudes in dodgy monster masks bleeding profusely!

W*ING We Love W*ING (December 20, 1992)

Time for some early 90s Japanese garbage wrestling! Today we’re looking at Wrestling International New Generations, better known as W*ING, specifically the We Love W*ING show from December 20, 1992.

ECW Hardcore TV (February 7, 1995)

We start things off with the Public Enemy making their way out to the ring for their Tag Team Title match against the challengers of Sabu and The Tazmaniac. This footage is from Double Tables, but because I’m watching it on the WWE Network instead of a VHS cassette, “Here Comes the Hotstepper,” has been replaced by some generic hip-hop beat. The crowd doesn’t seem to mind though and dutifully puts their hands in the air and waves them as if they just don’t care all the same.
