My prayers have been answered and WWE finally put the goofy ass contest version of NXT up on the Network. That’s right kids, before it was the best American wrestling promotion NXT was a ridiculous wrestling version of America’s Got Talent or American Idol or something of that ilk.
The gimmick was that 8 NXT rookies would get paired with 8 WWE pros and compete in various challenges and matches and stuff to prove that they had what it took to be a WWE superstar. Those who didn’t have it would be voted off or something.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. That includes Saturday Morning Slam, of which this is sadly the final installment (to date at least), coming to us previously recorded from the UK. But Voiceover Guy claims that Saturday Morning Slam GM, Mick Foley, is going to make history today. So I guess we’re going out with a bang!
They then announce that Foley’s sign a huge tag team match for the main event that will pit the team of Randy Orton and Sheamus against the stars of Saturday Morning Slam, the Prime Time Players. That’s not all though, earlier today something transpired backstage that led to Foley signing another huge match.
