Time for another old-ass episode of Monday Nitro because I’m a miserable old fuck who doesn’t have a ton of free time. Let’s check this shit out! We’re live from somewhere. I have no idea where exactly since Eric Bischoff doesn’t mention it. He’s joined by Bobby Heenan, Mongo, and Mongo’s dog, Pepe, who is dressed as a horse for some reason this week. Decided to watch another one of the Observer’s Worst Match of the Year winners and so I’m checking out WCW Uncensored ’96 tonight. Maybe it’ll be one of those shows where the main event sucks ass but the undercard is pretty boss, which was often the case with Hogan Era WCW. Let’s find out!

Time for some more WCW Monday Nitro from 1995! Coming to you live 23 years ago in Johnson City, Tennessee. Our hosts for the evening are Eric Bischoff, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, Steve “Mongo” McMichael, and Mongo’s dog, Pepe who is dressed in a little cowboy hat for reasons beyond my comprehension.

Halloween’s just around the corner so I figured I’d watch something Halloweeny in celebration. For whatever reason I decided to check out this random episode of ECW from Halloween night 2006. Let’s get extremely spooky!

Why am I watching Unforgiven 1999? Because I’m a glutton for punishment and want to watch all the matches that won the Wrestling Observer’s Worst Match of the Year Award and this one has the infamous Kennel From Hell match, which apparently was the worst professional wrestling match of 1999, that’s why! So let’s get our attitudes on and check it out!

Time for another random episode of WCW Pro from 1996. Again our announce team for the morning consists of Chris Cruise, Larry Zybyszko, and Dusty Rhodes. They hype the main event of this morning’s show by informing us the Stud Stable will be in action before throwing it to a video package to show us what went down on Nitro this past Monday.

Time for some more WWECW. This week we’re getting extreme in Roanoke, VA. Tazz and Joey Styles are our announcers for the evening and we’re kicking things off with an Extreme Rules match.

Of the “Big Four” WWE PPVs my favorite has always been the Royal Rumble. Sure WrestleMania has bigger marquee matches but there’s something awesome about seeing a bunch of dudes clubbering one another and tossing each other out of the ring and seeing what random legend they bring back in to throw a couple dudes out of the ring before ultimately getting eliminated.
Today we’re going to take a look at the 2009 edition of the Royal Rumble coming to us from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

Nitro’s only an hour again this week because of basketball playoffs or something which means this could be a fantastic show. Some of my favorite wrestling shows to watch are only an hour long. That being said, last week’s episode was pretty craptastic, so I don’t have high hopes for this one. Let’s get it on!
Previously on Nitro…
We start things off we a recap of the end of last week’s episode that finds the Outsiders and Syxx beating the fuck out of Ric Flair in the aisle as he screams for Piper to help him since he’s getting murdered. Piper, meanwhile, is in the ring, utterly dumbfounded by the nWo leaflets that are falling from the ceiling.

We get a cold open with a fortune teller (Shelly Martinez/Ariel/That Lady With the Boobs/etc.) using tarot cards to recap what happened on Raw the night before. Apparently ECW invaded and Sabu left John Cena bleeding. Tonight there will be a tag team event pitting Van Dam & Angle against Edge & Orton. For all the dumb shit WWE’s ECW did I think this is honestly a pretty cool way to recap a show.
