Bad News Allen vs. Kazushi Sakuraba (UWF-i December 5, 1993)

Union of Wrestling Forces Internation (UWF-i) was founded on May 10, 1991, as a continuation of the UWF. Like the UWF before it UWF-i featured a more hard-hitting, realistic style than other wrestling promotions. Though the matches in UWF-i were predetermined, the federation is seen as the precursor to many of the popular MMA promotions that arose in Japan.

Here we have the master of the Ghettoblaster, Bad News Brown/Allen taking on MMA legend Kazushi Sakuraba in one of his earliest bouts.

Lucha Underground (October 29, 2014)

Lucha Underground begins with a masked man saving dude wearing a hoodie from a beatdown in an alley and then giving some awesome voice-over history lesson about the Seven Mystical Aztec Tribes and how they started lucha libre. The old man in the mask asks the hoodie guy, “Will you join us?” Hoodie guy seems to be into it. It’s time for Lucha Underground!

A real sleazy businessman by the name of, Dario Cueto shows up at Triplemania and dumps out a briefcase of money to try and convince the AAA luchadors to come fight for him in America.

WWE Backlash (September 11, 2016)

The first Smackdown brand exclusive PPV since the brand split has a pretty stacked card.  New championships are up for grabs and existing championships will be defended.  Who’s going to walk away with gold and who’s going to go home empty?

The show begins with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan coming out to hype up the event and Smackdown as a brand before telling us that the match for the new Smackdown Women’s Championship is coming up now!
